Ladykiller
Meredith Anthony wrote and produced an award-winning short film, starring a young Melissa Leo--now an Oscar winner for The Fighter, and a nominee for Frozen River--along with the late great Joe Silver and Michael Medeiros.
The film was shot in 16mm and had feature film production values--original music, dolly work, day-for-night, location work, and slow-motion photography. Director Gwen Arner (Dynasty, Dallas) worked with cinematographer Nancy Schreiber and a large crew to capture the dark, frightening mood.
Ladykiller played on HBO, The Learning Channel, and played at festivals including the American Film Festival (Red Ribbon award winner) and the Chicago Film Festival.
